Steven Gerrard was left angered as he claimed Manchester City fans attacked Aston Villa goalkeeper Robin Olsen at full time during a pitch invasion.
Villa had looked to be spoiling the City party when first Matty Cash and then Philippe Coutinho gave the West Midlands team a commanding lead. However, the Blues managed a sensational comeback in the space of five minutes to turn the game on its head.
First Ilkay Gundogan and then Rodri brought the Blues level. Then, with just nine minutes remaining, Gundogan tapped home his second of the match to send the Etihad Stadium into raptures.

Second-place Liverpool beat Wolves 3-1 at Anfield meaning Pep Guardiola's team needed to win to secure the Premier League title which they did. At full time City fans then flooded the pitch to celebrate the victory.
Birmingham Live reported that, following the invasion, Olsen was holding his head as he left the pitch and Gerrard was angry when asked if his players were okay in his post-match press conference. He said: "'No' is the answer to that.
"My goalkeeper was attacked and I think those questions should go to Pep and Manchester City. We'll go and check if he's okay now."
Following lifting the title, City released a statement on the incident. They said: "Manchester City would like to sincerely apologise to Aston Villa goalkeeper Robin Olsen, who was assaulted after the final whistle at today’s match when fans entered the pitch.
"The Club has launched an immediate investigation and once identified, the individual responsible will be issued with an indefinite stadium ban."
Olsen was the subject of abuse from the City fans during the 90 minutes due to time-wasting while Villa had the advantage. Referee Michael Oliver spoke to Villa captain Tyrone Mings in the first half about these antics but Olsen was not cautioned.
