Steven Gerrard and Michael Beale react to Rangers win over Celtic

Steven Gerrard and Michael Beale have both celebrated Rangers' win over Celtic.

The former Ibrox dugout duo hailed Barry Ferguson's side after victory in the derby clash at Parkhead on Sunday.

Hamza Igamane fired home a stunning winner minutes from the end to claim a 3-2 victory after Celtic had levelled from two goals down. Nico Raskin and Mohamaed Diomande had netted in the first half for Rangers.

After the match, Beale and Gerrard sent messages of congratulations to their former club.

On Instagram, Gerrard simply shared the scoreline with a bicep emoji on his personal story.

Beale, meanwhile, posted: "Go on the Famous 💙

"Excellent from Barry, his staff and players 👏👏👏"

It comes after Calvin Bassey was thrilled to be informed of the scoreline after his match for Fulham against Tottenham.

Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge informed Bassey that Rangers had won and shared the short clip on social media.

The journalist said: "Calvin, you were playing earlier, I have got some news. Celtic 2 Rangers 3!" Bassey then added: "Come on boys!"
