Liverpool fans have accused Steven Gerrard of copying Jurgen Klopp as both managers ran to the tunnel at the break.
The German is renowned for his bursts up the touchline to the dressing room when the half time whistle blows, but on this occasion, he had company.
Gerrard was in pursuit of Klopp as he closely followed the Reds boss with both managers in a rush to give their pep talk at the interval in what was an entertaining first 45 minutes at Villa Park.
And the Anfield faithful were calling out their former hero on social media for copying Klopp's touchline habit.
Klopp certainly had a lot to talk to his players about with the score all level at the halfway stage. Villa came firing out the blocks with Douglas Luiz's opening the scoring for the hosts before Joel Matip cancelled out the Brazilian's header.
From a Liverpool perspective, it was a poor half as their title chances were in danger of slipping away. Klopp's side failed to pick up Luiz who had a clear run to rise for his goal with Alisson failing to deal with the initial effort before the midfielder put home the rebound.
Tyrone Mings gifted Liverpool's equaliser as Virgil van Dijk set up Matip for an easy tap-in, but Alisson then nearly surrendered Liverpool's lead immediately after. The keeper got a back pass all wrong and nearly put it on a plate for Ollie Watkins, but the Villa striker couldn't captilise as Alisson scrambled it clear.
But whatever Klopp said at half-time, it seemed to work. Liverpool looked like their usual selves in the second period as Sadio Mane scored a winning goal to seal a 2-1 victory.
