Klay Thompson’s questionable end-of-game shot selection had even Steve Kerr looking frustrated during Monday’s Game 4 loss to the Lakers.
Thompson did make one three in the fourth quarter, but missed a pair of deep, contested looks in the final three minutes of the game, helping the Lakers win Game 4 and take a 3–1 series lead over the Warriors. On one of those shots, a contested off-the-dribble three with 14 seconds on the shot clock in a one-point game with less than two minutes to play, Kerr bent backwards and threw his hands onto his head before the shot even got to the basket.
Here’s the full video of Kerr’s reaction.

Thompson’s struggles in Games 3 and 4 have been one reason the Warriors have fallen behind 3–1 in the series. He scored just 9 points on 3-of-11 shooting and 3-of-9 from three in Game 4, and before that had 15 points on 5-of-14 shooting and six turnovers in Game 3’s blowout defeat.
After the game, Kerr weighed in on Thompson’s late-game shot selection.
"Part of who he is, he’s gonna fire away,” Kerr said, per 95.7 The Game. “There were a couple late that he would probably like to have back."
The Warriors will need Thompson to get going from deep if they have any chance coming back from this 3–1 series deficit. Game 5 is back in the Bay Area on Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET.
