Steve Cooper sent Nottingham Forest instruction after training image

Nottingham Forest fans would like to see some changes in the backline for the Premier League clash against Aston Villa on Monday night.

The Reds fell to a 4-0 defeat against Leicester City this week, meaning that they have conceded 18 goals in their last five games in what has been a disappointing run of results. Steve Cooper did try to rectify the problem at the King Power Stadium by going from his usual three-at-the-back to a back four with Steve Cook partnering Scott McKenna in the middle of defence, meaning that Willy Boly dropped down to the bench.

That, however, didn’t work with Forest finding themselves 3-0 down before the half-time break. It is still to be seen if the Reds boss returns to the three at the back formation or sticks with the four.

Forest are now stepping up their preparations for their next outing as they take on Aston Villa at the City Ground on Monday night. Ahead of the game, the club have shared some pictures from training on social media.

One shows three centre-backs in Giulian Biancone, Willy Boly and Loic Bade walking out ready for the training session. All three arrived in what was a busy summer transfer window but are yet to establish themselves in the starting line-up.

Biancone and Boly have made just one appearance since joining the club, while Bade is yet to make his debut in a Reds shirt since joining on loan from Rennes on deadline day. It’s something that Forest fans would like to see change on Monday.

Here’s what just some had to say on social media.

Ere1865 : You better be playing that back 3 in the bottom right against Villa

Scott Hopkins : The first picture is heartwarming…

The last picture is what I would like to see the back 3 be at some point!

Grant Fellows : That looks an interesting back 3 doesn't it, pace and height.

Matt : Hinting at the next games back 3 with that last photo

El Bosque : Last pic. Those 3 need to be playing CB.

FM_throwing : that’s what our back 3 vs Villa should be!!!

Wayne : Play them 3 at the back

Rich : Good to see smiles on the boys faces hope to see bade and bianconne on the pitch against villa

Jonny90nffc : Get working on the defensive shape, 3 in central midfield, & give Loic Badé a chance in the team the others CBs have let us down all season.

Ashley Dabell : Really want to see Biancone get a start and play 90mins more than anything
