Nottingham Forest head coach Steve Cooper is "really positive" amid his team's struggles at the bottom of the Premier League table.
Cooper put pen to paper on a new three-year contract this week, putting an end to speculation over his future at the City Ground. It came after reports the offer had been withdrawn with replacements being eyed up by Forest.
Despite the difficult start to the season, former first team coach Steven Reid - who was integral to the team that won promotion last season - has revealed Cooper's frame of mind after the pair had dinner together last week.

"I think it's great news," Reid told talkSPORT of Cooper's new contract. "Anyone that steps into Nottingham as a city knows how highly regarded he is as the manager.
"It's brilliant news, shows backing from above. Hopefully everyone can just get on with it now and climb up the table.
"I went in to see them last week and had dinner with Steve. (He was) as he always is, really positive, and in my opinion there's no one better to lead that club up the table than Steve and how he is with the players."
