Steve Coogan spotted in Edinburgh pub as he brings show to the capital

Comedy legend Steve Coogan has been spotted ducking into an Edinburgh pub for a pint as he stops in the city for his one night only show.

The Alan Partridge Actor was stopped for a picture in Jeremiah’s Taproom in the city centre. The pub on Elm Row posted a picture with the star on their Facebook page earlier this afternoon.

The picture shows one of the staff taking a selfie with a smiling Coogan.

Coogan is currently in Edinburgh to play his one night only show at the Edinburgh Playhouse. ‘Stratagem’ with Alan Partridge played for one night yesterday with tickets on sale starting at £40.40.

The show is currently on a UK tour, their next stop over April 28 and 29 is Birmingham. However, those of you unable to attend last night will still get the chance to see the show.

The show is returning to Edinburgh on May 26 and will be heading to Glasgow on May 24 and 25. Returning to Edinburgh has been added as extra dates for the tour and tickets are selling out quickly.

Posting on The Alan Partridge official website, the tour is described as:

“Welcome to Stratagem, a live stage show that promises to inform, educate and entertain in approximately equal measure.

“Wearing a head-mic favoured by TED talkers, market hawkers, TV evangelists, backing singers and carnival barkers, Alan will perform a stage show that combines all of these roles and more. It’s a manifesto for the way we can move forward, a roadmap to a better tomorrow, an ABC for the way to be.

“Devised, written, produced, choreographed, performed and funded by Alan Partridge, Stratagem will see Alan - in person but with heavy security - not just treading the boards but pounding them, atop stages graced by such luminaries as Michael Ball, Jack Whitehall and Welsh rockers the Stereophonics.”
