Steve Clarke names Scotland starting XI for Greece second leg

Scotland boss Steve Clarke has named his team to face Greece this evening.

The Scots have the lead in the UEFA Nations League A play-off tie on aggregate after a 1-0 victory in Piraeus in the first leg.

Scott McTominay's spot-kick eventually proved decisive before Clarke's men stood up admirably against a second-half Greek onslaught.

Now back at Hampden, Scotland will be looking to retain their status as a UEFA Nations League A side as they welcome Ivan Jovanovic's men to Glasgow's southside.

John McGinn is set to earn his 75th cap this evening, with McTominay reaching 60 and Kenny McLean 50.

"That was one of the things that I set out quite early in my rein as head coach – to get a core group of players who would be capped,” Clarke said.

"I mentioned it before the game the other day: Greece away is a difficult place to go. Not many teams go there and win, and I pointed out that the reason why we give them cap after cap after cap is so when they go into those difficult games, they understand what they have to do."

And from Thursday's first leg, Clarke has made one change to his lineup with Ryan Christie replacing Lewis Ferguson.

Confirmed Scotland starting XI: Gordon, Ralston, Robertson, McTominay, Hanley, McGinn, Gilmour, Adams, Christie, Souttar, McLean.

Subs: Kelly, Slicker, Tierney, Conway, Hendry, Wilson, McKenna, Nisbet, Hirst, Ferguson, Miller, Johnston.
