Under fire West Bromwich Albion boss Steve Bruce has once again reiterated his belief that he did an "ok" job at Newcastle United.
Bruce is currently experiencing a turbulent time at West Brom, a club that he took charge of last term who were in the Championship play-off places.
However, since his appointment in February, the Baggies have slipped down the table. They finished last season in 10th and have started the new one in dismal form.

West Brom currently sit 22nd in the Championship having won only one of their opening 12 games this season. Their form has prompted cries from supporters, both inside the Hawthorns and on social media calling for a change in management.
But despite the calls for his sacking from West Brom fans, Bruce has opted to block out the noise.
"I’m not aware of what’s being said on social media," said Bruce.
"I can probably guess it isn’t very savoury, but is social media anything other than savoury? When do you get everyone saying how wonderful everything is on social media?
"I thought I did my job OK at Newcastle. I kept us in the league for two years in difficult circumstances. Other people can say I did or didn’t do a decent enough job.
"On this one, I haven’t got enough results. The only time we showed it was the back end of last season. In the last 12 games of last season we hit promotion form and I’m disappointed we haven’t been able to carry that forward into this season."
Under Bruce, Newcastle secured a 13th and 12th place finish in the 2019/20 and 2020/21 Premier League seasons, for which he deserves some credit. However, the football was ultimately dire to watch. Newcastle looked like they lacked a plan and the fact they finished in mid-table twice during Bruce's two seasons almost seems like a miracle now.
Despite his "ok" claims, Bruce seems to forget how his time at Newcastle ended. The Magpies were sitting in 19th place in the Premier League after eight games with only three points to their name when Bruce departed St James' Park back in October 2021.
Ultimately, the Bruce era is now in the rearview mirror for Newcastle fans. And a loss at home to Luton this weekend could mean it's soon to be over at West Brom too.
