Steve Borthwick brings in trio for latest 36-man England squad to prepare for Ireland

Bath Rugby centre Ollie Lawrence will miss England's final game of the 2023 Guinness Six Nations against Ireland after limping off the pitch during Saturday's 53-10 defeat to France at Twickenham.

Lawrence was unavailable for selection after sustaining a hamstring injury in the heavy defeat but effectively has been replaced in head coach Steve Borthwick's latest 36-man squad by Sale Sharks' Manu Tuilagi, with Guy Porter also coming in from Leicester Tigers.

Tuilagi has been with the squad for the last couple of weeks but has been serving a ban for high contact with his elbow while carrying the ball. Lawrence has been one of the bright spots in a challenging championship for England but now faces a spell on the sidelines, creating further injury problems for bottom-of-the-table Bath.

There are also returns to the England squad for British and Irish Lions lock Jonny Hill and Harlequins tighthead prop Will Collier.

Having been battered by the number two ranked side in the world on Saturday, England will travel to Dublin to take on number one ranked Ireland at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday 18 March (5pm KO) in their final game of the championship.

Ireland v England is live on ITV and BBC Radio 5 Live.
