Steve Bannon, the one-time political strategist to former president Donald Trump, surrendered to the FBI on Monday morning—and he made sure the moment was captured on his livestream.

Bannon was charged last week with two charges of criminal contempt after he refused a House subpoena requesting documents and testimony as part of the ongoing investigation into the U.S Capitol riot attack on January 6.

The charges were filed by the Department of Justice on Friday, resulting in Bannon facing a minimum of 30 days and a maximum of one year in jail, as well as a fine of $100 to $1,000 if convicted.

As he entered federal custody, Bannon took a moment to livestream the event for his podcast “War Room” on Gettr, a social media service founded by Jason Miller, who was a former Trump aide also subpoenaed.

“I don't want anybody to take your eye off the ball of what we do every day,” Bannon said during the livestream.

“We got the Hispanics coming on our side, the African Americans coming on our side. We’re taking down the Biden regime,” Bannon said, before he spoke directly to his supporters: “I want you guys to stay focused, stay on message. Remember, signal, not noise. This is all noise, that’s signal.”

Bannon is expected to appear in court this afternoon. This case has been referred to District Judge Carl Nichols, who was appointed by Trump.

According to Politico, Bannon tapped both Trump impeachment attorney David Schoen and Evan Corcoran to represent him in court. Corcoran, a former U.S. attorney, is also notably representing Michael Riley, a U.S. Capitol Police officer charged with obstruction of justice after he allegedly advised a Capitol rioter to delete video evidence of the mob from his social media.

As for what Bannon’s fate looks like, NBC reporter Scott MacFarlane broke it down on Twitter.

“Here's what likely happens to Steve Bannon now that he's surrendered to FBI: Booking (fingerprints, mugshot, criminal case history). Pre-interview w/ Pretrial Services. Then he'll transfer to DC federal courthouse a few blocks away.”
