Stereophonics frontman Kelly Jones has no regrets about performing just days before the first lockdown.
Jones said he stands by the decision as they "followed the advice" in place at the time, according to an interview with the Independent.
At the time, the band received criticism for choosing not to postpone the shows.

Two Stereophonics gigs took place at Cardiff's Motorpoint Arena in March 2020, less than ten days before the first UK lockdown.
Fans packed out the venue to watch the band perform as part of their Kind 2020 tour.
Pictures and videos later shared on social media from the band's official Twitter account showed thousands of fans at the gig, despite other major events being cancelled.
Wales’ Six Nations match against Scotland was already called off and football fixtures were also postponed.
At the time, the group received heavy backlash for their decision not to postpone the concert, with some fans calling them "irresponsible".
Now, frontman Kelly Jones says he stands by the band's decision to go ahead with the gigs.
Kelly Jones told the Independent: “I got back to my house in Wales and someone said: ‘Piers Morgan’s been having a right pop at you, hasn’t he?’
"I didn’t know what they meant, because I knew Lewis Capaldi was doing shows, and the West End was still running.
“I stand by what we did. We followed the advice. I had my own family there, including my parents, my pregnant wife and my five-year-old. If we upset people, we upset people, but we followed the guidelines at the time.”
In the interview with the Independent, Jones spoke openly about his past health issues as well as his son's transition. He also talks about his experience during lockdown.
In December 2021, Stereophonics were due to perform two huge shows at Cardiff's Principality Stadium, where they would have been supported by Tom Jones and Catfish and the Bottlemen.
Those concerts, which are sold out, have been rescheduled to Friday, June 17, and Saturday, June 18, 2022. All the tickets bought for the original shows will remain valid.
