Drummer Jamie Morrison was rushed to hospital just moments before he was set to perform in Nottingham on Monday evening.
The Stereophonics musician was scheduled to take the stage with his other band 86TVs at Rescue Rooms.
However, a sudden hospital admission forced him to cancel at the last minute, with doctors advising him against performing.
86TVs addressed their fans on social media with a statement explaining the situation: “We had quite a dramatic day yesterday when, minutes before doors opened in Nottingham, Jamie was rushed into hospital.
“He is still in there and has been strongly advised by doctors to not attempt to do the shows this week.
They added: “We are all heartbroken about this – the shows on this run really have been our best ever – but obviously health comes first.
“Please send your love and get wells to one of the best to ever do it.
“Huge apologies to anyone who has made plans for these shows, especially with long distance travel. We know there are a number of you that have had plans around this for a long time and were planning on sending off this record with us this week.
“We love you and thank you for all the support. Please contact your point of purchase to arrange a refund. x”.
After sharing their statement, fans of the band took to the comments to wish Morrison a “speedy recovery”.
One wrote penned: “The happiest drummer in all the world. Sending lots of positive vibes for a speedy recovery x”.
“Wishing you a speedy recovery, lots of love,” another wrote. A third added: “Love you Jamie! Wishing you a safe and speedy recovery!”
A fan commented: “Sending get well vibes to you Jamie. Hope you make a good recovery so you can retake your seat behind those drums again”.
While fellow musician Kate Nash added: 'Sending love, hope he has a speedy recovery'.
The band was in the final stretch of their 2024 tour following the release of their debut album.
Remaining shows were scheduled in Manchester, Bristol, London, Cambridge, and Leeds this week, with the tour set to wrap on December 1.
Morrison plays alongside Hugo and Felix White, former members of The Maccabees, and their brother Will in 86TVs.
