Stephen Welsh has reportedly landed in Belgium to finalise a loan exit from Celtic.
The 24-year-old centre-back is expected to sign a loan deal with KV Mechelen.
The Daily Record reports a deal has been agreed between the clubs for Welsh to join for the remainder of the season.
Mechelen have been long-time admirers of Welsh and wanted to land the stopper in the summer but couldn't strike a deal.
Celtic, though, have now decided a temporary exit can be sanctioned for Welsh to get himself more first-team game time having slipped down the pecking order at Parkhead.
Cameron Carter-Vickers, Auston Trusty and Liam Scales are all way in front of Welsh for the starting spots in Brendan Rodgers' side.
It's reported Rodgers is cognisant of Welsh's wishes to play first-team football with the Celtic boss not wanting to stand in his way of continuing his development.

However, Welsh still has time left on his contract at Celtic and will return to the club at the end of the season with no buy option included in the loan move.
It's hoped the deal could see Welsh's value stabilise through proving his worth in a first-team environment in the Belgian top flight.
Celtic, meanwhile, have some cover in the defensive areas with Dane Murray recalled from his loan at Queens Park and Maik Nawrocki in the building at Parkhead.
