Stephen Welsh is edging closer to a temporary exit from Celtic.
Sky Sports say that the defender, 24, has completed his medical ahead of a loan move to the Belgian Pro-League.
Reporter Anthony Joesph says the former Scotland Under-21 international will join KV Mechelen on loan until the end of the season.
It's anticipated that the move will be finalised tonight, however, there is no word on when an official announcement will take place.
He wrote on X: "Celtic centre-back Stephen Welsh has completed a medical with KV Mechelen.
"It is understood the 24-year-old will finalise the paperwork on his six-month loan deal this evening."

The move looked increasingly likely after Dane Murray was recalled from his loan spell at Queen's Park in the Championship at the start of the month.
The young centre-back has been brought back into the first-team fold by Brendan Rodgers to allow Welsh to go out and gain some much-needed minutes.
