Stephen Robinson believes St Mirren’s latest signing Jonah Ayunga has the potential to “kick on” in Paisley.
The Buddies confirmed the 25-year-old winger was the club’s third signing of the summer, joining on a two-year deal after leaving English League One side Morecambe.
Robinson is making a habit of bringing his former players to the Saints, having also signed former Motherwell pair Mark O’Hara and Trevor Carson.
And the St Mirren boss feels Ayunga, who was called up to the Kenya national team in 2016 while he was a prospect at Brighton, will bring a physical edge to their front line next season.
Robinson said: “I’m delighted to welcome Jonah to the club.
“We worked together at Morecambe last season so we know what he can bring to the team.
“He’s big, physical and can run in behind.
“He’s also just turned 25 as well, so he is still quite young and has the potential to kick on.”
