Stephen Mulhern threatens to walk off ITV This Morning after 'rude' comment

Stephen Mulhern threatened to walk off ITV This Morning because of a 'rude' comment. The TV host threatened to storm off after an interview with Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield on Wednesday, May 10.

The pair of presenters were seen giggling as they previewed 'what's coming up headlines', reports Birmingham Live. As they laughed, Holly blamed Stephen, telling viewers: "It's because Stephen's just sat down on the sofa.

"He's being naughty already and he's really trying to distract us. I'm going to give you your introduction so just zip it for a second."

She added: "Now our next guest is a celebrated - it says here - TV presenter, a magician and talented comedian, did you write this?" Stephen laughed before adding: "No but keep reading!"

Phil then stepped in, saying: "But these days Stephen is better known as Ant and Dec's assistant..." Stephen then fumed: "Who did write that? Get them to the floor now!"

Phil continued: "When he's not running errands for Ant and Dec, he's a very successful children's author." Stephen then raged: "Do you know what I'm leaving?," before laughing.

It comes as Mulhern takes centre stage on ITV's Deal Or No Deal reboot. Speaking about the revival, Mulhern, who is known for presenting Britain’s Got Talent spin-off Britain’s Got More Talent and Catchphrase, said: “Wow what an opportunity, I’m beyond excited to be hosting the brand-new series.

“I’ve always been such a huge fan of the show, so much so, I’ve been practising at home with small cereal boxes! It looks so simple but it’s an incredibly compelling game for both those playing and the viewers watching at home.

“It’s one of the greatest shows of all time and to be the new host is an honour." Stephen added at the time of the announcement: “I can’t wait to get started.”
