Stephen Mulhern spooked fans on Tuesday morning with an unusual video posted to social media.
His career began in children's entertainment, but he steadily climbed the ladder and is now one of the nation's greatest TV stars.
On Tuesday, the TV personality, who is known for his comedic antics, said he had been told to deliver a "serious" message from the "powers that be". A clip showed Stephen facing the camera to speak to his many Twitter followers.

He said: "Hello, all. Listen, I never thought I'd be serious on social media but the powers that be have asked me to deliver this message. It turns out that criminals are smuggling illegal goods into the country using pieces of fruit. They've sent me this as an example."
He then ripped open a tangerine, revealing a small orange and blue pill inside. Opening a second piece of fruit, he continued: "Let's see what's in this one" before a huge spider appeared on the screen with a loud noise intended to startle those watching.
The clip then panned to Stephen dancing to James Brown's "I Feel Good". Fans rushed to comment after the video made them jump.
Darren Jenkins said: "Well, you've certainly woke me up this morning", while Victoria Belk said: "You're not funny Stephen, I jumped so bloody much!" Cerri said: "I just spilt my coffee, this is why I've got trust issues" and Michele said: "Haha brilliant as usual Stephen".
