Stephen Flynn takes on Jenny Colgan as sweepstake knockout stage continues

THE weekend’s knockout drama continues as Stephen Flynn’s England takes on Jenny Colgan’s Slovakia.

England have had a sluggish start to their Euros campaign and Slovakia will fancy their chances of causing another tournament upset.

Gareth Southgate’s men were hardly inspiring in their opening three games, as they scraped through with two dull draws and a win, which saw them top their group.

Slovakia managed to qualify as one of the best third-place finishers and were only one point behind England's total.

They also pulled off one of the biggest tournament upsets as they beat Belgium in their opening game.

Colgan will hope for a repeat performance from Slovakia against England as she is playing for Kidney Research UK.

Flynn will, unusually, hope the English team can finally pull it together and are able to progress to the last eight as he is playing for Community Food Initiatives North East.

The later kick-off will see two of the most exciting teams of the group stages come head-to-head as Christopher Brookmyre’s (below) Spain faces off against Gavin Newlands's Georgia.

Spain are one of the favourites to win the tournament and after an impressive group stage performance, Brookmyre will hope his team can go all the way for his chosen charity Medecin Sans Frontieres.

Newlands will hope the momentum from Georgia’s 2-0 win over Portugal will carry over against Spain as he is playing for Renfrewshire Toy Bank.
