Stephen Bear jailed for 21 months after being found guilty of revenge porn

Stephen Bear has been jailed for sharing a private video of him having sex with his ex-girlfriend. The reality TV star, who won Celebrity Big Brother back in 2016, was sentenced to 21 months in prison at Chelmsford Crown Court today (March 3).

Bear, 33, was arrested in 2021 after he uploaded CCTV footage online which showed himself and Love Island star Georgia Harrison having sex in his back garden in 2020, which Ms Harrison said was filmed and uploaded without her knowledge or consent.

Bear was found guilty of voyeurism and two counts of disclosing private sexual photographs and films by a jury whilst on trial at Chelmsford Crown Court in December 2022. He has received 21 months in prison, with the maximum sentence for the offences of voyeurism and disclosing private sexual images being two-years in prison.

After being sentenced, Bear wished the court a good weekend, saying: "have a good weekend everyone", reports the Mirror.

Giving his sentence Judge Christopher Morgan said he was satisfied Bear knew his CCTV cameras were recording the pair in the act. He said Bear would have also known the "economic value" of Ms Harrison, a well known TV personality, being in the video.

Bear reportedly made 'financial gain' from the intimate video which appeared on sites such as OnlyFans, with the subscription fee to his OnlyFans account going up to $50 for an hour after the video was uploaded.

Ms Harrison, 28, contacted Essex Police after the video was shared online without her consent and an investigation was then carried out by Essex Police Domestic Abuse Investigation Team.

Bear was arrested on his birthday back in January 2021 at Heathrow Airport after a stint in Dubai, and was subsequently charged in May.

Ahead of the trial back in December 2022, Ms Harrison waived her right to anonymity to help other victims of such offences come forward.

The sentencing was originally due to take place on January 31, 2023 but was delayed by more than a month after a judge granted time for a psychiatric report to be conducted.

According to the Mirror, Bear arrived at the court with his fiancée Jessica Smith sporting matching black outfits.

Ahead of his sentencing the TV personality was then seen taking selfies and singing, whilst being yelled at by the public.

In court Ms Harrison said her income had 'dropped dramatically' as said she had been dropped from contracts and brands say they didn't want to be associated with her due to the leaked video.

"He's left me feeling hurt, embarrassed, insignificant and insecure in so many ways. I simply don't have the confidence I used to have," Georgia said of Bear.
