Stephanie Meadow may have missed out at the Women's PGA Championship on Sunday but she collected a hefty consolation prize.
The Jordanstown golfer finished in a five-way tie for third as China’s Ruoning Yin claimed her first major title at Baltusrol.
Yin received an impressive £1,179,852 for winning the tournament, finishing one shot ahead of Japan’s Yuka Saso.

Meadow's financial reward for her performance was £332,164, by far her most lucrative finish in her career. Her previous highest payday came back in 2014 when she finished third at the US Women’s Open ($271,373 - £213,098).
The 31-year-old's earnings for the season now stand at $499,036 (£391,942).
After a brilliant birdie on the 17th, Meadow's hopes of victory were dashed on the 18th when she topped her second shot across the water when chasing an eagle.
She was able to see the funny side after completing her round.
Meadow said: “Well it’s been a long time since I finished third… and the cheque’s not bad.
"That was not my career best shot. I’ll just wipe that from the memory for now.
"It was one of those shots where I had to hit it absolutely perfect and I think I just tried to swing too hard. It happens. The best players in the world can do it.”
She added: "It’s been a long time since 2014 so to get that again, it’s been a long journey with a lot of ups and downs, personally and professionally.
"I’m proud of myself.”
Meanwhile, Meadow's playing partner Leona Maguire, from Cavan, laboured to a disappointing 74 to fall back into a tie for 11th on four under. She pocketed over £132,000 for her efforts.
