Steph Davis finally moves back home after stalker is jailed for 28 weeks

Steph Davis has finally moved back home following the news that her stalker has been sent to prison.

The 28-year-old appeared on Monday's This Morning to speak to Phillip Schofield and Rochelle Humes to discuss how the scary situation has affected her life.

Last week Alex Boston, 43, was sentenced to 28 weeks in prison at Sefton Complex Case Court in Bootle, the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) said.

The court also issued an indefinite restraining order which bans him from contacting Steph or approaching her home.

Before Steph's interview on Monday began, mum-of-three Rochelle was seen giving the actress a hug in order to show her support.

As Rochelle described the situation as "disturbing", Steph replied: "Soon as he mentioned Caben, and he left presents for Caben as well, and then my blood started to boil.

"I was really scared, I was a single mum living at home on my own, petrifying. I had to leave my home where I live, that was our safe place with Caben that was violated then," Steph continued.

Alex sent Steph seven-page letters and when she caught him on CCTV outside her home, she knew she had to leave.

"I had to move back to my mums so my whole routine with my mum was disturbed. And in my mum's house, there's my brothers, my dad, my nan who has dementia. So we were literally, I was like, 'where am I staying tonight?'

The former Hollyoaks actress said she was 'constantly filled with anxiety' (ITV)

"I was constantly filled with anxiety. I think it definitely had a big impact on my mental health, my anxiety was through the roof, I couldn't relax. I was constantly having panic attacks, I couldn't sleep," Steph admitted.

"Honestly, I felt like I was in The Bodyguard, it was like living in a horror film," she said as she spoke about her stalker having a "blocker" for CCTV cameras on the streets.

Asked how she feels now that he is behind bars, Steph replied: "I feel relieved. I slept for the first time in a long time. I think I'll always be looking over my shoulder for a while, but I'm glad justice has been done."

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV and ITV Hub.
