Steph Curry’s long-awaited return to the court made the Warriors comfortable favorites on Sunday against the Los Angeles Lakers, but Anthony Davis dominated Golden State inside, leading the Lakers to a 113-105 victory.
The loss snapped the Warriors’ five-game winning streak, and dropped the defending NBA champions to 7-24 on the road this season.
While Curry noted after the game that his Warriors were able to battle-back from a 32-12 deficit in the first quarter, Golden State’s superstar said the team is working to “correct” their road woes.
Via NBC Sports Bay Area:
“Our road splits have been trash all year in all categories, so just trying to correct that as much as possible is our challenge. First quarter we were down 20. To fight our way back shows you how much it matters to us to try to get over the hump. On the road we’ve just got to have a better start.”
