Steph Curry sets new Warriors franchise all-time record for steals

In his 13th season with the Golden State Warriors, Steph Curry is continuing to establish himself in franchise lore with a flurry of individual records and achievements.

On Tuesday night against the Los Angeles Clippers, the two-time Most Valuable Player rewrote the history books again. While he’s known for his long-distance shooting, Steph Curry’s latest record came on the defensive end of the floor.

After deflecting a pass against the Clippers in the first quarter on Tuesday night at Chase Center, Curry became the Golden State Warriors’ all-time leader in steals. Curry passed NBA Hall of Famer Chris Mullin on the Warriors’ franchise steal list with 1,363 steals.

Curry finished the contest with 15 points on 5-of-12 shooting from the field with five boards, five assists and three steals in 35 minutes during the Warriors’ 112-97 victory over the Clippers.

Along with being Golden State’s all-time leader in steals, Curry holds the franchise record for points, games played, 3-pointers, assists and free throw percentage.
