Steph Curry ruled out agianst the Minnesota Timberwolves

Steph Curry will not participate in the Golden State Warriors Nov. 14 contest against the Minnesota Timberwolves, per The Athletic’s Shams Charania. The 35-year-old guard will miss the game with knee soreness. Golden State will be playing their second in-season tournament game and will also be looking to avenge their loss against Minnesota.

Throughout the Warriors opening 11 games, Curry has been the team’s best player and has performed at an All-NBA level right out of the gate. The sharpshooting guard is averaging 30.7 points, 4.6 assists, and 3.9 rebounds. He’s shooting 48.8% from the field and 44.6% from 3-point range. With Curry ruled out of the Warriors’ upcoming game, Chris Paul will likely step into the starting lineup.

Paul is at his best when operating as the primary ball-handler in a pick-and-roll heavy offensive system. It will be interesting to see what alters Steve Kerr makes to his overall offensive game plan and how he looks for the offense to be initiated.

Golden State fans will hope that Curry can return to the rotation in time for their Nov. 16 game against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
