Steph Curry and Draymond Green’s private locker room chat after Los Angeles Lakers defeat

Steph Curry and Draymond Green held a private conversation in their locker room after what could have been the last time they ever share the court as teammates.

After the Golden State Warriors were eliminated by LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers, the future of the Warriors title-winning dynasty has made many headlines, with huge decisions to make this off-season as Green becomes a free agent and Klay Thompson finds himself the subject of trade talk.

Both Green and Thompson have been superstars in their own right alongside Curry with the trio winning four NBA titles in the last eight seasons, but the former two struggled to recapture their championship form while on the wrong side of 30.

Throughout the series defeat, the Warriors leant on the brilliance of Curry, but it was not enough to defeat James, Anthony Davis and the Lakers, with the team and the coaching staff admitted as much themselves.

The Warriors have not been eliminated from the first three rounds of the play-offs since 2014 - either getting to the finals or winning them in that time.

They've been so used to winning that they've been able to lock in at the important times of the season in order to win. But when they were not able to do that this season, the team now head into the off-season knowing that big changes are likely to be made.

And while at their lockers after the loss, the Curry and Green shared a word.

The Athletic reported that Green asked Curry: "What are we supposed to do now?” as Curry replied: "I’ve got to figure out Mother’s Day now."

While Curry will almost certainly remain with the team, the question marks over Green remain. The defensive stopper is set to become a free agent this off-season, and is being heavily linked to the Lakers to join LeBron, who he is close friends with.

The Warriors may also struggle to keep Thompson around after giving Jordan Poole - who plays in the same position as him- a huge extension last off-season, while improving the depth of the roster, much like the Lakers did themselves, will be crucial to any hopes of another championship.
