Steph Curry and D’Angelo Russell might not be a good fit in some eyes, but the two All-Star guards are showing they’re working to build chemistry in the offseason.
Russell posted a picture Monday on Instagram, posing with Curry after the two got a workout in together.
With Russell new in Golden State, it’s good that he’s working out with Curry in the summer. While both guards are ball dominant — they both had a usage percentage of at least 30% last season — working out together can help them create synergy for next season.
Russell, 23, is also still a young player in the league, and he can learn from Curry, a three-time champion. Russell went to the playoffs for the first time in his career last season, and he showed he still has room to grow.
In five games against the Philadelphia 76ers, Russell averaged 19.4 points a game on 35.9% shooting, along with 3.6 assists a game for the Brooklyn Nets.
