The Cincinnati Bengals lost their AFC Championship clash against the Kansas City Chiefs after Harrison Butker scored a game-winning field goal in the final seconds, and Buffalo Bills star Stefon Diggs has mocked them online.
The Chiefs secured revenge over the Bengals on Sunday as they won the game with a late field goal, which was exactly how they lost against Zac Taylor's side at the same stage last season. The Chiefs will now advance to the Super Bowl and face the Philadelphia Eagles, something that Diggs was clearly happy about.
The Bills were beaten 27-10 by the Bengals last week, and Diggs was an animated figure throughout as he grew frustrated. Popular rapper Drake placed a huge $1.1million bet on the Chiefs to beat the Bengals, and Diggs has used a video of the artist to mock them.
Diggs was disappointed as the Bills were outclassed by the Bengals in the Divisional round, and even turned on quarterback Josh Allen during the match. But it's safe to say that Diggs was happy to see the Bengals bow out in the AFC Championship.
Drake is known for his large bets on big sporting occasions, and he placed a $1.1m bet on the Chiefs to win - taking home just over $2m as Butker sent them to the Super Bowl. After seeing this, Diggs posted a video of Drake laughing on Monday to add to the Bengals' misery.
It was a tense encounter at Arrowhead on Sunday, and even with minutes to go there was no real way of telling who was going to win as the game was tied at 20. But a costly personal foul on Patrick Mahomes by Joseph Ossai moved the Chiefs well within field goal position, and they snatched the win from there.
Ossai was distraught, and was seen sobbing on the sidelines as the youngster realised the magnitude of the error he had made. But his mistake was warmly received by the Chiefs, Drake, and even Diggs.
Of course, the Bills don't gain anything from the Bengals losing, but it seems as though Diggs feels that justice has been served. And now the top seed from the AFC will face the top seed in the NFC, and it's expected to be a classic on February 12.
The Eagles are yet to be tested in the postseason, easing past the New York Giants and the San Francisco 49ers on their route to the Super Bowl. Now Jalen Hurts will face Mahomes for only the second time, but on the biggest stage of them all.
