Steelers WR Diontae Johnson offers lackluster support of QB Kenny Pickett

You can tell it is getting harder and harder for the Pittsburgh Steelers to keep their heads up and say all the right things. First it was running back Najee Harris after Sunday’s loss to the Cleveland Browns doing all he could to hold back his frustration to now wide receiver Diontae Johnson.

Johnson went off on the sidelines on Sunday after quarterback Kenny Pickett launched a deep throw late in the game to absolutely no one. There was a great deal of discussion about who was in the wrong and if Johnson ran the wrong route or Pickett had the play wrong. You could see Johnson on the sidelines ranting about it and we assume about Pickett.

Johnson spoke to the media on Monday about it and shared the company line about the situation in the least enthusiastic manner humanly possible by someone who is conscious. This is clearly a team divided and not thinking about team and all about themselves. This could spell disaster for the slim playoff hopes the Steelers have.
