He won’t have the final say but Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett said on Tuesday he plans to play Thursday night against the Tennessee Titans.
Pickett is trying to quickly heal up and come back after suffering a rib injury at the end of the first half of last week’s loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Pickett was unable to play in the second half and Mitch Trubisky played in his place.
Head coach Mike Tomlin has already said Trubisky is the starter if Pickett cannot go despite his struggles last week. Pickett was limited in practice on Wednesday and only did some light throwing. It still feels like a long shot that Pickett is able to go this week.
Pittsburgh heads into Thursday’s game at 4-3 and clinging to a spot in the playoffs.
