After Friday’s practice, the Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson assured reporters that despite a setback with his hamstring injury earlier in the week, he plans to play this Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Johnson returned last week after a short stint on IR with this same injury. The passing offense definitely looked better once it got going with Johnson on the field against the Los Angeles Rams.
Against the Rams, Johnson had five receptions for 79 yards and just as importantly, opened up the coverage for teammate George Pickens. Thanks to fewer double teams, Pickens was able to haul in five receptions of his own for 108 yards.
