Let’s not get too ahead of ourselves here, but there’s a real chance that Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett could top his career Week 11 performance against the Cincinnati Bengals this week against the Arizona Cardinals.
Pickett had his best game of the year last Sunday with 278 passing yards. It was the second-highest total of his two-year career. In 24 career games, Pickett has only topped 300 passing yards once. But what career mark could Pickett get this week?
One thing Pickett has never accomplished in those 24 games is throwing for three touchdown passes. In fact, Pickett has only thrown for two touchdowns in a single game once. That happened this season against the Las Vegas Raiders.
If there was ever a week for Pickett to get that elusive three-touchdown game, it is against Arizona. The Cardinals are missing their top two cornerbacks this week and Pickett should be able to take advantage of some serious mismatches all over the field in the passing game.
