With eight games left to play, the Pittsburgh Steelers find themselves at 6-3 as they continue to find ways to win games despite all the team’s struggles. Not the least of which is the play of quarterback Kenny Pickett. This week the Steelers head out on the road to take on the Cleveland Browns who are also 6-3. Here’s what we are worried about this week.
Slowing down Myles Garrett
Historically, the Steelers have had more success against Browns EDGE Myles Garrett than any other team. While this is cause for optimism, when you are talking about one of the best defensive players in the NFL, you can take nothing for granted.
Playing it safe but not too safe
The Browns are shorthanded at quarterback this week when could convince the Steelers that they can go ultra-conservative on offense. Head coach Mike Tomlin has said that the beginning of games doesn’t determine the outcome so why not come out and take some chances early while there is still time to make up for it?
That Browns run game
Even without Nick Chubb the Browns have found a way to run the football. With the middle of the Steelers defense decimated by injuries, we aren’t sure how Pittsburgh will scheme up ways to slow down Jerome Ford and Kareem Hunt.
A loss here is huge
The AFC North is so close and so competitive this season, that this game is a must-win. Of the Steelers final eight games, four of them are division games doubling up just how big a loss to the 6-3 Browns would be.
