Steelers vs Browns: 2 huge win streaks on the line for Pittsburgh this week

History could be made on Monday night and for all the wrong reasons. The Pittsburgh Steelers square off with the Cleveland Browns this week at Acrisure Stadium and there are some streaks on the line for the Steelers.

First up, Pittsburgh hasn’t lost at home to the Browns in the regular season since 2003. This was a miserable season for the Steelers on so many levels, losing to Cleveland at home was the icing on the cake. It was the last season before the team drafted quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and could only muster a 6-10 record. It’s also coincidentally the last time this team finished a season under .500.

Next up we have the Steelers streak at home on Monday Night Football. The last time the Steelers lost a Monday Night matchup in Pittsburgh was all the way back in 1991. 32 years. It was a 23-20 loss and some of us remember the Steelers going down 20-0 in the third quarter after a 30-yard touchdown run by Giants running back Dave Meggett. The Steelers clawed back to tie it up only to lose on a late field goal.

If you want a bit of good news, head coach Mike Tomlin’s record after a blowout loss is really good. He’s actually 10-2 in the game following a loss of 20 or more points. This all bodes well for the Steelers this week. The downside is the Steelers have lost 12 games under Tomlin by at least 20 points.
