Just when we thought the absence of Pittsburgh Steelers safety Minkah Fitzpatrick was becoming worrisome he goes and shows up to training camp practice on Saturday.
After missing nearly two full weeks of training camp, Fitzpatrick was in pads on Saturday and seemed good to do. Fitzpatrick has been in attendance for each practice but had not participated in any team activities. The team offered no word on why Fitzpatrick was out but it appeared to be a personal matter and not team related.
No matter the reason, it is just great to have the best safety in the NFL back on the field. We don’t foresee the absence hurting Fitzpatrick at all in terms of preparation but between him sitting out and injuries to Damontae Kazee and Keanu Neal, we have gotten a good look at Tre Norwood and Kenny Robinson. Both have played well and could provide quality depth.
