After an eventful and injury-riddled first four weeks, the Pittsburgh Steelers have lost three starting offensive linemen to season-ending injuries so far. The team is looking at every move possible to alleviate some of the damage.
Although the Steelers brought in two young offensive linemen for workouts on Monday, they have their eye on signing a veteran who is currently on the Washington Commanders practice squad.
#Steelers are likely to sign veteran guard Max Scharping off the #Commanders practice squad, per sources.
Pittsburgh is decimated by injuries and Scharping has starter's experience.

Max Scharping, although a guard at heart, has experience playing every position on the line. Pittsburgh would not only appreciate his versatility on the line but also his experience. He has started 33 games in his five-year career. The signing of Scharping, a second-round pick of the Houston Texans in the 2019 NFL draft, would be a boost for the offensive line as it looks to get on track against the Cowboys in Week 5.
