As the Pittsburgh Steelers continue assembling their 90-man offseason roster, they added defensive back Cameron McCutcheon, whom they held a workout for last fall and early January.
McCutcheon, 24, spent his first two NFL seasons with the Los Angeles Rams, where he signed as an undrafted free agent following the 2023 NFL draft. He has spent most of his pro career bouncing on and off the Rams’ practice squad and has yet to make his NFL debut.
As a product of Western Carolina and Gardner-Webb, McCutcheon logged 166 tackles, three interceptions and seven passes defended.
At his Pro Day, McCutcheon checked in at 6-foot-1, 204 pounds and 33-inch arms.
Five members of the secondary — Donte Jackson, Damontae Kazee, James Pierre, Cam Sutton and C.J. Henderson — are all pending free agents. The Steelers could re-sign a couple, but McCutcheon offers them a solid depth option.
