Steelers set to lose the least in free agency

The next step of the Pittsburgh Steelers rebuild could come fairly painlessly this upcoming offseason. Every offseason NFL teams are forced to face the reality of losing starters and top reserves in free agency. This forces them to respond either by paying other street free agents or via the NFL draft.

In terms of potential losses for Pittsburgh, the news is really good. As of the end of Week 14 of the NFL regular season, the Steelers are set to lose the fewest snaps via free agency.

For comparison sakes, the Tennessee Titans are on pace to lose 44 percent of snaps via free agents while the Steelers pending free agents have played only 12 percent of snaps.

The top names among the Steelers upcoming free-agent class are cornerback Levi Wallace, linebacker Kwon Alexander and defensive lineman Montravius Adams. They are the guys who will probably command the most money on the market and Pittsburgh doesn’t have much to spend.
