The Pittsburgh Steelers announced on Saturday that starting strong safety Terrell Edmunds is out versus the Buffalo Bills this week. Edmunds is in the concussion protocol and was originally listed as questionable. Edmunds did practice with the team but is not recovered to a point to allow him to play.
This means Tre Norwood will get his fifth NFL start. Norwood was the team’s seventh-round pick in the 2021 NFL draft. Norwood has proven to be a playmaker in his young career with an interception and four passes defended as a reserve in 2021.
Pittsburgh is also down starting cornerback Ahkello Witherspoon who is dealing with a hamstring injury. The team’s other starting cornerback Cameron Sutton is listed as questionable on the injury report but seems like he’s ready to go.
The #Steelers have downgraded S Terrell Edmunds (concussion) to OUT for Sunday's game at Buffalo.
