The Pittsburgh Steelers put out their game status report for Sunday’s showdown with the Cincinnati Bengals. The only player on the roster with any sort of injury designation is cornerback Ahkello Witherspoon who is out for this week’s game.
One name absent from the list is safety Minkah Fitzpatrick. Fitzpatrick had an appendectomy last Saturday but has been a full participant at practice this week.

It would be remarkable if Fitzpatrick can play on Sunday, especially a full workload. There will always be the issue of pain management, especially where his stitches are. Thankfully Pittsburgh has Damontae Kazee to keep Fitzpatrick from feeling the need to be forced out onto the field if he isn’t ready.
