When you are in the position the Pittsburgh Steelers are in, your train is pulling up squarely into desperation station. As one of six teams sitting at 7-6 and two of them in the playoffs as of now, the magnitude of every game is magnified.
This week the Steelers take on one of the 7-6 teams not in the playoffs as of now in the Indianapolis Colts. The winner improves to 8-6 and has a serious leg up for the final three games. A fact not lost on Steelers safety Minkah Fitzpatrick.
“Yeah, it’s a playoff game in my eyes,” Fitzpatrick said. Pittsburgh put themselves in this high-pressure situation thanks to two brutal losses in the last two weeks against two of the worst teams in the NFL. Now there is no margin for error if the Steelers have any hopes of getting into the playoffs at all.
