A rumor made the rounds on Twitter on Friday that during the season, Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson hit quarterback Mitch Trubisky in the face during a disagreement. The whole story made no sense at all and Johnson was quick to take to Twitter to refute the claim.
And now Trubisky has broken a two-year silence on Twitter to do the same. The story of an argument between Johnson and Trubisky during the Jets game was fairly well documented. But by all accounts, it was a verbal disagreement only and actually took place at halftime against the New York Jets and not before the game. This was the game where the Steelers benched Trubisky at halftime and the Kenny Pickett era began.

Zero truth to this. 😂 https://t.co/bYtdGsdQNM
