The Pittsburgh Steelers saw starting quarterback Kenny Pickett head to the locker room in the first half of their game against the Arizona Cardinals. He reinjured his right ankle.
Tied 3-3 in the second quarter, the Steelers were threatening to score. Pickett scrambled to the one-yard line on third down, getting tackled by Jonathan Ledbetter.
Pickett had his right ankle already wrapped. He was dealing with it all week, although he did not miss any practice time.
He came out, the Steelers were stopped at the one on fourth down and he was taken to the locker room.
The Steelers announced Pickett was questionable to return but the television broadcast said he was doubtful. He was ruled out for the rest of the game at halftime.
Before leaving the game, Pickett completed 7-of-10 passes for 70 yards.
