Steelers QB Kenny Pickett believes he’ll have input on offensive gameplan

At this point, we have no idea what the Pittsburgh Steelers offense is going to look like in 2023. We also aren’t sure who is going to be responsible for developing the offense this season. Quarterback Kenny Pickett spoke to the media and gave the impression he wants to and will be part of the planning process.

Pickett says he’s been working with offensive coordinator Matt Canada this offseason and sounded confident when it is time to start installing the offense he will be involved in those conversations.

There have been conflicting reports about the offense over the course of the offseason as far as what the philosophical approach will be. Based on the moves the Steelers have made, it feels like Pittsburgh is going to come out and run the football. This probably isn’t how Pickett wants things to go and he’d much rather run a much more wide-open scheme. This is a storyline we will keep a close eye on as training camp goes on.
