In Sunday’s comeback win over the Las Vegas Raiders, Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Marcus Allen suffered a serious biceps injury on the final kickoff of the game. Head coach Mike Tomlin didn’t elaborate much detail after the game but based on Allen’s Instagram page, it did require surgery.
Allen posted pics and video early Monday morning on his IG story of him going into the hospital, what looks like shortly post-surgery and then heading home.
This will almost certainly end Allen’s season and perhaps his career with the Steelers. Allen is set to hit free agency at the end of the season. If Allen is done for the year, look for rookie Mark Robinson to be active for the team’s final two games.
