The Pittsburgh Steelers defense took another hit on Sunday when starting inside linebacker Kwon Alexander went down early in the game. According to ESPN NFL reporter, Alexander suffered a torn Achilles and his season is over.
This is after Alexander was in the starting lineup replacing Cole Holcomb who suffered a season-ending injury just the week before. This injury leaves the Steelers very thin at inside linebacker with just Elandon Roberts and Mark Robinson.

The Steelers got past the Green Bay Packers 23-19 on Sunday but the absence of Holcomb and Alexander was evident. Packers running backs combined for 105 yards. We expect a larger role for practice squad linebacker Tariq Carpenter down the stretch.
