The only thing anyone wants to know from Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin is who Pittsburgh’s starting quarterback will be in Week One. But Tomlin isn’t talking even if he does hint he has the competition settled.
Tomlin was coy when he talked to the media on Tuesday and gave the impression he knows who his starting quarterback will be but feels no sense of responsibility to share this information with the masses.
Aside from purely selfish reasons, I totally understand why Tomlin isn’t talking. The Steelers kick off the regular season against the Cincinnati Bengals so it is wise to play it close to the vest about who the starter is and not give the opposition any more information than necessary leading up to the game on September 11.
Tomlin on the QB competition: "Who's to say it's not settled? I'm just not making any announcements."
