Steelers HC Mike Tomlin once again laments subpar offense

It feels like a broken record but on Saturday night, after the Pittsburgh Steelers loss to the Buffalo Bills, head coach Mike Tomlin wasn’t happy with the offense. Tomlin referred to the offense as “JV” which if you have been around this team is nothing new.

Pittsburgh played the team’s top two quarterbacks, Justin Fields and Russell Wilson for the entire game as well as several other starters.

The tandem combined for a woeful 139 passing yards and only netted three points. This wasn’t all on Fields and Wilson as the Steelers offensive line got pushed around all game long. This has been an ongoing trend for the Steelers offensive line for years and despite committing multiple high draft picks to the cause, doesn’t appear to be fixed.

Pittsburgh has one more shot in the preseason to show some improvement before the regular-season schedule gets started. Pittsburgh travels to Detroit for the team’s third preseason game next week.
