Steelers fans react to potential Russell Wilson-Pete Carroll reunion in Las Vegas

The Las Vegas Raiders have a new head coach in 73-year-old Pete Carroll.

Peter Schrager, analyst for Fox Sports and NFL Network’s “Good Morning Football,” put feelers out to Raiders Nation for their thoughts on Russell Wilson reuniting with his former coach Carroll.

Many Pittsburgh Steelers fans agree that the Wilson experiment didn’t yield enough to offer him a new contract.

“Steelers fans support it,” replied one Steelers fan.

“Make it happen please!!!” begged another Steelers fan.

“Take him Raider fans,” wrote another Steelers fan.

Raiders fans don’t bye into Schrager’s suggestion.

“F–k off. That’s my thought. Raiders haven’t drafted a QB in the 1st round in 17 years. They need to do everything they can to get a top QB this year. Nothing else matters,” a Raiders fan commented.

“I don’t think Russ goes to LV,” wrote another. “They have a high draft pick and can pick their QB of the future. They don’t need Old Russ.”

The Raiders own the No. 6 overall pick, which likely gives them a shot at a top signal-caller. But while there are some intriguing passers in the 2025 draft class, namely Cameron Ward, Shedeur Sanders, and Jalen Milroe, experts agree it’s not a particularly strong crop.

Wilson, 36, could provide that bridge QB role while mentoring Vegas’ hopeful franchise guy.

Justin Fields might not be the Steelers’ future, but he gives Mike Tomlin the mobile option he wants, a trait necessary to compete in the modern NFL.
