One member of the Pittsburgh Steelers who is excited about the addition of rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett is veteran defensive tackle Cam Heyward. Heyward was on the Jim Rome show this week and talked about the newest addition to the team.
Heyward likes what he sees from Pickett from his leadership to his athleticism but the did joke that he probably doesn’t want to try the fake slide in the NFL. Heyward noted the team has to just take him in and show him the Steelers way, pointing to the team’s culture over everything else.
Pickett was the Steelers first-round pick in last week’s draft and should compete with Mitch Trubisky and Mason Rudolph for the starting job this season.
